Malak Mukhtar was born in Maa’batly in Afrin, Syria. In 2005 Malak started studying music in a private institution. In 2010 she contributed with some friends of her in opening a musical institution dedicated to children in Maa’batly, in which she helped training and teaching children the art of music and dancing and eventually getting a band together of the institution’s attendees.
Besides her musical teachings Malak has worked as a choreographer as well, teaching the kids some of the famous kurdish folklore choreographies.
Malak also supported the creation of the dance group “Dam ho dam”.

She had in 2016 her first theatre experience in Denmark by performing the lead role in a silent play named “the Departure”.

In 2017 during her battle with cancer Malak went back to painting and presented her paintings in her first solo art gallery in Denmark and some city of Europe
