I am a daughter of Kurdistan. I was born in a forgotten village on the banks of the Suplakh River, before life was stolen from it. I studied engineering at Damascus University and got married there, before it became the city of death. I left it to live and study mathematics at universities in Texas, before moving to Arizona and starting a master’s thesis that I did not finish. The necessity of work and living moved me between Germany and Arizona, until I settled in Germany, after being given the opportunity to defend the rights in Syria, Iraq, and Kurdistan with the coalition forces. I am a Kurdish American who learned to accept that this land is my home and humanity is my customs and traditions. I was and will remain free despite wars, pains, and migration. I live the beauty and express my opinion without restrictions, and I scream in the face of injustice through my colors and paintings. Currently, my job is teaching mathematics in international schools, but the moments of life are my art.

أنا ابنة كردستان. ولدت في قرية منسية على ضفاف نهر سوپلاخ، قبل ان تسرق الحياة منها. درست الهندسة في جامعة دمشق وتزوجت هناك، قبل ان تصبح مدينة الموت. تركتها لأعيش وأدرس الرياضيات في جامعات تكساس، قبل ان انتقل لأريزونا وابدء برسالة الماجستير التي لم انهيها. ضرورة العمل والعيش نقلني بين المانيا و اريزونا، لأستقرّ في المانيا، بعد ان منحت فرصة الدفاع عن الحق في سوريا والعراق وكردستان مع قوات التحالف. أنا كردية أمريكية تعلمت ان اقبل ان هذه الارض هي بيتي والإنسانية هي عاداتي وتقاليدي. كنت وسأبقى حرة رغم الحروب والآلام والهجرة. أعيش الجمال و اقول رأي بدون قيود و اصرخ في وجه الظلم من خلال ألواني ولوحاتي. حاليا عملي هو تدريس الرياضيات في مدارس الإنترناشيونال، ولكن لحظات الحياة هي فني.
